NAB PB-19 Forms
The "nab pb-19 form" is a model agreement for political broadcast advertising, often called the "Political Broadcast Agreement Form for Candidate Advertisements". It serves to facilitate compliance with FCC record retention rules by documenting the sale of advertising time, and it includes fields for candidate and station information, the ad details, and a certification from the candidate.
- Purpose:
The form is used by broadcasters to create a record of political ad sales to comply with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements.
- Content:
It includes fields for:
- Candidate and their authorized committee
- Office sought and political party
- Date of election
- Agency requesting the time, if applicable
- Information about the ad itself (date received, version, etc.)
- Usage:
- A separate form must be completed for each unique version of an ad.
- A version of the form also exists for issue-based ads, called the "Political Broadcast Agreement Form for Non-Candidate/Issue Advertisements".
